1886 Stafford Opera House Dinner Theatre Located in historic downtown, the facility is the oldest, flat-floored opera house in Texas. Built in 1886 by Robert Stafford and designed by Galveston architect Nicholas J. Clayton, the two-story building has a beautiful, copper French Mansard style roof, painted curtains surrounding the stage, and lovely floor to ceiling windows.
